The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
Services
With our extensive experience and knowledge, JWA can assist you in undertaking an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
During the planning phase of a development project, an EIA is required to properly understand the possible impacts the project can have on the surrounding environment.
Furthermore, the results are made public, and opinions will be obtained from the local residents and local governments. Based on this input, a better and improved project plan is developed with a focus on environmental preservation.
Since the introduction of the EIA system in Japan, we have assisted numerous clients in conducting EIAs, with particular expertise in EIAs for power generation projects such as wind farms, thermal power stations and solar parks.
Our service:
Using our broad knowledge and many years of experience, JWA supports our clients throughout the necessary steps required for the EIA process. This includes conducting preliminary and on-site surveys, predicting and evaluating potential impacts, assisting with required hearings and reviews, and facilitating consensus-building with stakeholders.
To predict and evaluate the potential environmental impacts we carry out on-site surveys of meteorological conditions including surface- and upper-air observations, as well as environmental factors such as air quality, water quality, noise and vibration impact, flora and fauna, and landscapes.
