Blossom Trends
The earliest full bloom in Japan was on March 23rd in Uwajima-shi, Ehime. The number of days from flowering to full bloom tends to be shorter as it moves from South to North.
The blossoms are expected in the south region of Tohoku in early April, and in the north region of Tohoku and Nagano in the middle of April, and eventually in Hokkaido in the late April.
The forecasted blossom dates for cherry trees in all 89 locations are available on the cherry blossom forecast page (https://tenki.jp/sakura/expectation/) of “tenki.jp,” the weather forecast media operated by Japan Weather Association (Japanese only).
