Japan Weather Association (JWA) released the November Autumn Foliage Forecast 2022.

The best time to see fall foliage is affected by temperatures from September to November. When temperature is low, leaves turn red early and when temperature is high, leaves turn red late.
In October, the temperature difference became large across the country. In late October, due to the strong cold air, the minimum temperature fell below 10 degrees Celsius in Eastern and Western Japan, and the leaves are turning their colors gradually in the plain fields. Temperatures in November are expected to be around normal or slightly lower in Eastern Japan, and around normal or slightly higher in Western Japan.
Due to these circumstances, in places where the best time to see the autumn leaves will come, the time of color change seem likely to be same as usual years.
