JWA provides precipitation and temperature forecasts to support concrete placement in dam construction works, as well as wind and wave forecasts for port construction operations. We offer precise, specialized forecasts tailored to specific construction projects, including wind forecasts for high-elevation works.
Besides fixed-point and fixed-time forecasts, we also provide custom forecasts for any location and time based on customer requests.

【Ways of providing forecast data】
Q: How can we receive forecast data?
A: Forecast tables can be sent as email attachments.
Forecast information is available in web formats and almost all of the information of this service is compatible with smartphones.
【Forecasting locations】
Q: Can I receive a forecast for a specific construction site?
A: We calculate for the entire area of Japan at a minimum resolution of 1 km grid units. If latitude and longitude are provided, we can provide point forecasts for any location.
Forecasts are available for both land and offshore areas.
【Time frame for providing forecasts】
Q: Can I receive forecasts early in the morning or late at night?
A: Uses can specify the time and frequency of receiving forecasts. The latest weather data at the specified time is used to create forecasts.
Additional temporary forecasts are available during severe weather events, such as heavy rain or typhoons. (Optional service).
【Consulting services】
Q: The forecast table is not clear- can I get assistance?
A: Certified weather forecasters are available to provide consulting services (optional).
In case of rapid weather changes or uncertainty about construction feasibility, forecasters can offer detailed support and decision-making assistance.
Working on improving forecast accuracy
We continuously enhance forecast accuracy by validating our data against meteorological observations, such as those from AMeDAS (Automated Meteorological Data Acquisition System). Accuracy can be further improved with local observation data provided by users.
