Japan Weather Association Presents at International Weather Symposium hosted by Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration

Japan Weather Association (JWA) is pleased to report that it delivered a presentation at the 2025 Asia Pacific Climate Services Workshop, hosted by the Central Weather Administration (CWA) of Taiwan, held in Taipei from June 11 to 13, 2025.
This biennial international symposium brings together weather experts, policy makers, and industry representatives to discuss adaptation to climate change. Since the inaugural event in 2019, JWA has made a presentation at every symposium. This fourth symposium, held this year under the theme “Early Warnings for All,” featured a presentation by Chiho Kimpara from JWA’s Social and Disaster Management Department, titled “Case Studies of Hazard Monitoring and Early Warning Systems in Practice.”

The socioeconomic impacts of climate change are far exceeding conventional projections, prompting the international community to respond with greater speed and precision. This symposium brings together global experts, policy makers, and industry leaders to share the latest developments in climate adaptation and early warning technologies. It will also explore the importance of public-private partnerships and capacity building to accelerate the implementation of “Early Warnings for All (EW4All: Early Warning System for All)” in the Asian region. Discussions will focus on establishing a multifaceted support structure spanning scientific and technological innovation, policy frameworks, and financial mechanisms—to drive EW4All implementation and create opportunities for future international collaboration.
JWA will continue to distribute the latest weather and climate services globally and will actively promote initiatives aimed at addressing climate change.
