Japan Weather Association (JWA) released the October Autumn Foliage Forecast 2022.
In tenki.jp, our weather forecast website, we provide fall foliage information in 762 spots all over Japan.

【The Best Time Forecast in Nationwide】
The best time to see fall foliage is affected by temperatures from September to November. When temperature is low, leaves turn red early and when temperature is high, leaves turn red late.
This year, temperatures in September was higher than usual years throughout Japan. In early October, the cold weather will intensify mainly in northern Japan. From the middle to the end of the month, there will be large temperature differences during that period, from northern to western Japan. In November, temperatures of eastern and western Japan will be expected normal as usual years.
Due to these circumstances, autumn leaves coloring has tended to be late this year. But in places where the best time to see the autumn leaves will come, the time of color change seem likely to be same as usual years.
