Temperatures remain high in November Slow color change in both eastern and western Japan
Press Release
Japan Weather Association (JWA) released the Best Viewing Forecast for Autumn Foliage on November 1, 2023.
Falling leaves:From the state where some leaves have fallen to the point where they have all completely fallen off.
【The Best Viewing Forecast in Japan】
The best time to view autumn foliage is from September to late November. However, a delay in color change is possible especially if the temperatures are higher than usual in the same period. In October, cold air affected some days, and temperatures in eastern and western Japan tended to be normal or lower than normal, with many areas showing advanced color change. The temperatures in November are expected to be higher than usual nationwide, particularly at the beginning of the month. In the areas where the best time view autumn foliage is approaching, the coloring will progress slowly and the best time will probably be later than usual or at the same time as usual.
